Showing Up at the Swiss–Viet Economic Forum | SVEF 2025

I walked out of that room knowing something had shifted. Not because of who I met but because this time, I wasn’t just observing. I was representing.
The Swiss–Viet Economic Forum 2025 (SVEF) took place in Zurich this June. It’s only the second edition, but already becoming a key platform for long-term partnerships between Vietnam’s provinces and Switzerland’s business, government, and academic ecosystems.
I came in with two years of creative and strategic work in Vietnam. Real work, on the ground, in the middle of it. I was proud to represent Hubert & Partners, because I know what we’ve built. Representing a bridge that’s been walked in both directions. Nothing I said was hypothetical. We’d done the thing. It was lived experience.
A Thoughtfully Curated Forum with Space for Real Dialogue
What impressed me most wasn’t just the agenda (which was strong), but the way the room was composed: legal advisors, innovation consultants, university program directors, chambers of commerce, crisis managers, public affairs leaders. But more than their roles, it was how they showed up. Curious.
There to listen, too.
SVEF is still in its early days. What matters now is simple: trust and people willing to keep the conversation going. And from what I saw, that’s already starting to happen.
Vietnam & Switzerland: A Shared Vision, Still in the Making
The content was clear and backed by action. Since 2008, Vietnam has been a priority partner for Switzerland through SECO. After Typhoon Yagi in 2024, Switzerland responded within days with both funding and boots on the ground.
Now, the 2025–2028 cooperation program focuses on:
- Skills transfer and inclusive growth
- Sustainable trade and innovation
- Green infrastructure and urban resilience
Where I Stand
Whether as an independent advisor, a creative lead, or eventually in education, I’m open to contributing to this space.
Not because I need another project, but because this one makes sense. It’s close to the kind of work that matters to me. I know the gap, and I’ve already worked both sides of it.
What we built at Hubert & Partners, the clarity, the cross-cultural pace, the creative precision, it resonated. And it proved that creative thinking isn’t just welcome in this space, it’s very needed.
Big respect to the SVEF team in collaboration with UZH for putting together such a thoughtful event. And to everyone I crossed paths with, thank you. For the honest conversations.
Let’s see where this goes.
If you’re building something in this space and think I could contribute, I’m always up for a conversation.
